About the role
NRG Industrial is seeking an experienced and motivated Electrical Mining Supervisor to join our growing team. Working across mine sites throughout Central Queensland, you will provide leadership, technical support and operational oversight to electrical crews performing maintenance, shutdown, construction and project works.
This role is suited to a hands-on leader with strong mining experience who can effectively manage personnel, maintain client relationships and ensure all work is delivered safely, efficiently and to the highest standard.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise and coordinate electrical personnel across mining maintenance, shutdown and project works.
Ensure all work is completed safely and in accordance with site procedures, legislation and Australian Standards.
Lead daily pre-starts, toolbox meetings and safety interactions.
Coordinate labour allocation, rosters and workforce planning to meet operational requirements.
Monitor project progress, productivity and resource utilisation.
Provide technical guidance, mentoring and support to electricians and apprentices.
Liaise with client representatives, site supervisors and project stakeholders.
Review and approve permits, risk assessments, SWMS and other site documentation.
Assist with project planning, shutdown preparation and mobilisation activities.
Conduct site inspections, quality checks and safety audits.
Drive a positive safety culture and continuous improvement initiatives across all operations.
About you
Current Queensland Electrical Licence.
Demonstrated experience supervising electrical teams within mining environments.
Minimum 1-2 years of electrical supervisory experience required.
Strong understanding of mining maintenance, shutdowns and project delivery.
Extensive knowledge of electrical installations, fault finding and maintenance practices.
Electrical trade certificate required for this position.
Sound understanding of Queensland mining legislation and safety requirements.
Strong leadership, communication and conflict-resolution skills.
Ability to build positive relationships with clients and work crews.
Excellent organisational and planning capabilities.
Current Driver's Licence.
Australian permanent resident or citizen status required.

EEHA experience
Experience with draglines, CHPP, conveyors, fixed plant or heavy mining equipment
