The Wharf & Co – Rosslyn Bay Harbour, Yeppoon

The Wharf & Co is a locally owned and operated business providing seafood retail and wholesale services, marina fuel sales and barge operations throughout the Keppel Islands region.

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Administration & Accounts Officer to join our team.

While the position is ideally full-time (38 hours per week), we are also willing to consider flexible or part-time arrangements for the right candidate.

This is a hands-on role responsible for the day-to-day administration and financial support functions of the business. The successful applicant will be a self-starter, highly organised and capable of working independently in a fast-paced environment.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Accounts payable and accounts receivable

  • Processing payroll for up to 10 employees

  • Bank reconciliations and general bookkeeping

  • Managing customer invoicing and supplier payments

  • Daily, weekly and monthly reporting

  • SwiftPOS administration and reporting

  • Reckon Desktop data entry and maintenance

  • General office administration and customer support

  • Assisting management with operational reporting and business administration

 

Skills & Experience

  • Previous experience in administration, bookkeeping or accounts roles

  • Strong working knowledge of Reckon Desktop

  • Experience using point of sale systems, preferably SwiftPOS

  • Payroll processing experience

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy

  • Excellent computer literacy and Microsoft Office skills

  • Ability to prioritise work and meet deadlines

  • Strong communication and customer service skills

  • Ability to work autonomously and take ownership of the role
